Description

1 old Koto period Japanese WW2 Army Officer sword available. The blade is an old samurai family sword. The IJA soldier had his family's sword mounted in Army mounts for the sword. This Army Officer katana would make an important addition to any collection.

This pre-1597 A.D. samurai sword is unsigned. This sword has a wonderful and beautiful hada. The hamon/temper line is suguha. The blade's cutting edge/nagasa measures 27 3/4" (70.5 cm). This sword's mounts are of exceptional quality and condition. Note that they are early--the fittings have a deep red color.

The saya is a special lightweight wood saya--finely lacquered in a brick red Army sword color.
