Presentation tachi's were made during World War 2 to promote the spirit of the Samurai in the Japanese.
This sword was made by Yoshiaki. There is the showa stamp above the signature, indicating this sword made in 1942 or before. This sword has a wavy temper line. The blade's cutting edge/nagasa measures 25 1/4" (64.1 cm). This sword's mounts are in exceptional condition.
Condition:
The blade is perfectly straight. The hamon and boshi are perfectly healthy. There are no nicks in the cutting edge. The blade is in original wartime polish. The blade has occasional minor discoloration from past light oxidation. The tachi mounts are quite nearly perfect.
