1 vintage U.S. World War 2 Case V-42 stiletto. This V-42 is a premium and rare knife. This knife was the President of W.R. Case & Sons Knife Co.'s V-42. This is a historic knife for only the most advanced collection.
The original authentication letter from Robert Buerlein, author of Allied Military Fighting Knives and The Men Who Made Them Famous, accompanies this exceptionally rare knife.
This Case V-42 has the long scabbard. The blade on this knife measures 7 1/4".
The V-42 was used by the First Special Service Force. Frank Trzaska notes in his article "The Case V-42 Stiletto" which appeared in the April 1998 edition of KnifeWorld, that "The U.S. Special Forces (Green Berets) use the V-42 in their Distinctive Insignia, their Unit Crest and in their shoulder patch." The Case V-42 is a coveted and classic U.S. fighting knife.
Condition:
This V-42 and sheath are mint. The blade has 100% bluing, and is perfect. The guard has all of its original black paint. The handle and skull crusher pommel are perfect. The long sheath is perfect.
