Description

1 antique Japanese WW2 Type 44 Army Officer sword available. This fine Japanese IJA sword would make an important acquisition for any collection.

These swords are usually signed. The tsuka/handle wrap is covering the lower peg/mekugi so couldn't get the handle off. The blade measures 66.2 cm (26 1/16") from blade tip to notch in the blade spine.

Condition:

The mounts are nice, with some occasional oxidation. There are no nicks of any mentionable size in the cutting edge. There is some staining and superficial surface changes on the blade from past minor oxidation. The blade is perfectly straight. St. Croix Blades buys Japanese swords!
