Description

This rare and elegant tanto is attributed to Seki Kaneharo, a Mino school swordsmith active during the Tenshō era (1573–1592). The blade is unsigned (mumei), featuring a masame grain pattern and soft notare hamon.

It comes with a beautifully crafted ribbed black lacquered saya, violet silk cord (sageo), and gold-accented metal mounts. The handle is wrapped in purple silk ito over ray skin, adorned with gilded menuki and fittings.

This tanto is both a historic weapon and a collectible art piece. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Japan.
