A fine example of the Model 1826 Russian flintlock infantry musket, produced at the Izhevsk Arms Factory between 1829 and 1839. The musket represents the standard infantry firearm of the Russian Imperial Army during the reign of Emperor Nicholas I.

The weapon features a steel barrel and lockplate, brass fittings, and a hardwood stock. The lockplate is typically engraved with the Izhevsk factory mark, one of the principal arms manufacturers of the Russian Empire.
