Description

Russian Percussion Infantry Musket, Model 1845

Maker: Tula Arms Factory
Date: circa 1845–1850
Origin: Russian Empire, Tula
Overall length: approx. 148 cm

A fine example of the Imperial Russian percussion infantry musket, Model 1845, produced at the Tula Arms Factory around the mid-19th century. This model succeeded the 1826 flintlock musket and represents the first officially adopted percussion firearm in the Russian Army.

The musket features a steel barrel and percussion lock, brass mounts, and a walnut stock. The lockplate is marked with the Tula Arsenal stamp and the year 1845, confirming its early production during the transition from flintlock to percussion ignition systems.
